After a break for the FIFA Date, the Brasileirão Feminino had its 13th round concluded on Monday night (9) with a national classic. At Canindé, Flamengo played a tough game, but ended up being defeated by Corinthians by 1 to 0. Now, the Meninas da Gávea face América-MG, at home, in the penultimate round of the first phase of the national competition.

The game
The match began with both teams scrutinizing each other and fiercely competing for possession. Just two minutes in, Glaucia attempted a play from the edge of the box, but the ball fell to Djeni, who attempted a shot from outside the box. Nicole made the save in the middle of the goal. As the match progressed, Corinthians began to hold the ball more and hover around the red-and-black area.

In the 20th minute, Cristiane backheeled a pass to Djeni, who squared the ball with the goalkeeper. The minutes ticked by, and the game became tight, with few clear-cut chances. In the final minutes of the first half, Fernanda took a free kick from distance, unleashed a powerful shot, and Nicole made the save. The teams went into the break with the score unchanged.

At the start of the second half, Corinthians opened the scoring at Canindé with a goal from Vic Albuquerque, who received a pass from Jhonson, cleared the marking inside the area and shot high to beat the red-black goalkeeper: 1-0.

In the 18th minute, the Meninas da Gávea created a good opportunity to tie the match. Laysa sped down the right, dribbled past the goalkeeper, and when she was about to shoot, she found herself at a poor angle and sent the ball wide. Ten minutes later, Flamengo threatened again from the right. Laysa dribbled past the opposition and shot toward goal. Nicole palmed the ball away for a corner.

In the final minutes, Flamengo equalized through Laysa, but the assistant referee raised the flag, signaling the Flamengo striker offside. The game ended at Canindé, with coach Rosana Augusto's first loss as Flamengo coach.
