In the third round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo was defeated by Internacional 1-0 on Sunday night (25), at the Luso Brasileiro Stadium, on Ilha do Governador.
The game
The first half began with Internacional having the majority of possession and occupying more of Flamengo's defensive half, which struggled to exchange passes when transitioning from defense to attack. In the 14th minute, Sorriso made a good run down the left, burst into the box, and took a shot. The ball sailed over the goal.
In the 24th minute, goalkeeper Kaká made a great save and prevented the Colorado team from opening the scoring. With few chances created by the red-and-black team, the first half ended all square: 0-0.
Early in the second half, Rafa Barros received the ball inside the box and struck hard, but the ball bounced off the net. In the 14th minute, after an Inter attack, Sorriso made a good move and cleared the ball off the line with aplomb, preventing a Colorado goal. Rafa Barros then passed to Raquel, who hit a crossbar, and the ball skimmed the post.
The red-and-black team created more chances in the second half, but still lacked the final pass. Defensively, the Meninas da Gávea managed to neutralize Inter's plays with strong marking. But in the 45th minute, in a quick counterattack, Internacional scored through Mileninha, giving the final score: 1-0.
