Flamengo's standout names in the second half of 2021, Pimenta, Núbia and Kaylane Júnior were called up by Jonas Urias for the fifth phase of preparation for the Brazilian U-20 team, at Granja Comary, between November 22 and December 1.

Núbia, a recent arrival, has been a standout performer in the professional Carioca Championship. With her on the field, Celso Silva's team has conceded very few goals. Known for her aerial prowess, the defender has also contributed to other tactical aspects.

Kaylane Júnior shone in the Brasileirão U-18 and was one of the Mais Querido's top scorers in the competition. The 17-year-old athlete is part of the first team but was relegated for the Nike Premier Cup. Possessing a powerful shot, the midfielder is quite skilled and will be wearing the yellow jersey for the second time.

The state's top scorer with 11 goals, Pimenta is enjoying a stellar run at the club. The center forward had already attracted considerable attention in the youth academy and, since her promotion, has become a regular starter. A key player in the red-and-black system, the youngster is dedicated, talented, and constantly improving, and will have her first opportunity. It's only fitting for someone who works so hard every day.

"We received the three call-ups with great joy, mainly because of the athletes' personal achievements and the recognition of the work we're doing at the club. Since the beginning of the year, we've worked hard to build a strong squad in the youth teams. In total, we currently have nine athletes who have played for the national team, and the continuity of our planning is certainly crucial to have many of them in the senior team soon," said André Rocha, Flamengo's women's football coordinator.
