Pimenta and Duda Rodrigues move up to the professional team
Athletes join the group led by Celso Silva and are registered in the State Championship

The red-and-black squad gained two new additions on the eve of the start of the Campeonato Carioca: Pimenta and Duda Rodrigues. The forwards, who arrived in 2021 and competed in the Brasileirão U-18 in Sorocaba, pleased the main coaching staff.
Duda scored three goals and was the club's top scorer in the competition. Pimenta stood out for her excellent pivot work and tactical determination, as well as her refined ball skills. They are now transitioning to a higher category, a natural part of the promotion process.
"I'm very happy. I want to thank everyone who supported me and was always there for me, like my mother, my godfather, my grandparents, and my stepfather. The committee and the athletes welcomed me very warmly, and we'll fight for titles together. There's no way I'd think differently when I'm at Flamengo," said Pimenta.
The girls' rise is part of the club's women's soccer evolution. Currently, more than ten players have participated in youth competitions, and the goal is to increase that number in the coming years.
"After our participation in the Brazilian Championship, we're reallocating new players to the professional team. We already have several, and the transition process is underway. We'll take advantage of the State Championship to include them in matches and, at the same time, use them in the U-18 championship. We want to prepare our squad for 2022," commented André Rocha, coordinator of the sport.
