On Tuesday morning (7), Mengão held its final training session before the decision of the Campeonato Carioca Sub-18. Undefeated so far with four wins and one draw, the Meninas da Gávea eliminated LGD/Karanba in the semifinal and will face Fluminense tomorrow, at 15 pm, in Laranjeiras. The duel will be broadcast by FlaTV.
This is the second edition of the competition, and the Rubro-Negro team has reached the final for the first time in history. Having had the best campaign in 2021, the team has already scored 26 goals and conceded only two. Striker Duda Rodrigues, a standout performer so far, spoke about the match.
"We've worked hard over the past few months and we're ready. We'll try to impose our style of play from the start; after all, only victory matters to us. We know how important this match is for Flamengo, and there will be no shortage of grit, commitment, and determination. We want the title," she declared.
