All set! This morning, at CEFAN, Mengão had their last training session before the grand final of the 2023 Women's Carioca Championship. After winning the Guanabara Cup and eliminating Fluminense in the semifinals on aggregate by 2-1, the Meninas da Gávea will face Botafogo, this Sunday morning (19), at 10 am, in Gávea. The match will be broadcast on FlaTV. 

Six-time champions of the competition (2015, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 21), the Mais Querido (Most Wanted) are seeking their seventh title to maintain their dominance in the state, having won the Copa Rio earlier this season. So far, Maurício Salgado's team has won seven games, drawn one, and lost one. In total, they have scored 44 goals and conceded only five. According to defender Daiane, the team is ready for the final.

"Expectations are the best possible. We've been working hard all week and fixing everything we missed in the last few games. I believe we're confident and prepared for the derby, and we want to win the title at home," said the captain.
