The President of Clube de Regatas Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim, visited the Almirante Adalberto Nunes Physical Education Center (CEFAN), in Penha, to discuss the direction of the partnership between the club and the Navy in the women's soccer team, which began almost eight years ago.

He was accompanied by the President of the Deliberative Council, Antônio Alcides, and was received by the Commander-General of the Marine Corps, Admiral of the Fleet (FN) Carlos Chagas, and by the Commander of CEFAN, Rear Admiral (FN) Medeiros.

The partnership began in July 2015, and since then, the team has won the Brazilian Championship in 2016, the seven-time Rio de Janeiro Championship, and the two-time World Military Championship. Currently, the team is second in the Brazilian Championship and has already qualified for the next stage of the competition.

"The Navy and Flamengo have been working together in women's soccer for almost a decade, and this has certainly contributed to the growth of women's soccer in the country. The sport's rapid evolution demands constant improvement, ensuring an even more promising future for the sport," said the Flamengo president. 

During the visit, the Flamengo President, in addition to watching the women's soccer team train, had the opportunity to tour CEFAN's modern facilities, as well as its main sports and social programs. He was then introduced to the Navy's Olympic Program (PROLIM), the Navy's Paralympic Program (PARAPROLIM), and the Forces in Sport Program (PROFESP).
