By Rafael Rezende - inLast Monday (7), Ana Laura, Ana Portugal, Ingrid and Pimenta were present at the Olympic Park and closely followed the finals of the women's and men's futsal of the JEB'S (Brazilian Student Games). The Girls from Gávea, who are part of the Under-20 category, handed out the medals to the athletes at the awards ceremony.
The country's largest school event, which began on October 31st and ends tomorrow, brought together more than five thousand students aged 12 to 14. It's an initiative of the CBDE (Brazilian Confederation of School Sports) in partnership with the Brazilian government. In a chat with the official website, winger Ingrid, who was nostalgic for her childhood memories, emphasized the importance of the event and opened her heart.
"It was a wonderful experience representing Flamengo at JEB'S. I had the opportunity to meet girls and boys who are beginning their sports journey, complementing their studies. I was happy to receive the invitation and to be able to share a little of my story as an athlete. I was moved by the look on each child's face as they began playing sports, remembering the time when I was in their shoes, taking my first steps in futsal. I believe that most of the field soccer players went through the hall, a very important thing on the field. I gave advice, observed new talent, and played with the little ones. I had fun, and without a doubt, this moment will be remembered forever and will serve as motivation to achieve more goals and dreams. It was an honor," he declared, with tears in his eyes.
Now, after this important occasion, the quartet returns to training tomorrow with a view to next Monday's game (14), against Rio de Janeiro, valid for the third round of the Unifoot Revolution Cup.
