Flamengo/Marinha finished the first round of the Brazilian Women's Football Championship in third place, with 15 points, five wins and two losses.

Coach Ricardo Abrantes assessed Flamengo/Marinha's opening matches on his official website. "It was good, but it could have been better. Unfortunately, we ended up losing two games when we played better. We have to improve a bit, as our goal is to finish first in the group, and we're getting back to that now with some wins," Abrantes stated.

Flamengo has scored 16 goals from six different players, conceding six in the first half of the season. The coach commented on the attack and defense, highlighting the good collective attacking effort. "I see this as positive, as the work of a team that isn't just looking for a top scorer, but rather everyone is aware and has the ability to score. We're going to strengthen the attack so we can score even more goals," he said. "Defensively, we've conceded some goals that we can't afford. We need to improve the defensive system so that this happens less often," he added.

In the last game, Flamengo/Marinha defeated Foz Cataratas/Coritiba 5-2 at home. Now, the Meninas da Gávea face them again, but this time away from Rio. Ricardo Abrantes expects nothing more than a positive result for the match: "Flamengo always expects to win, I want to win everything from now until the end. We've already lost the games we had to lose. We have to win, and that's what we're aiming for in this group: to win several victories, take the lead, and become two-time champions."
