Last week, Stefane, Andressa Pereira, and Ingryd Avancini were called up by Doriva Bueno for a training period ahead of this year's U-20 World Cup. They spoke to the official website about the opportunity and their expectations for 2018.

Ingryd Avancini, who is awaiting the completion of her transfer to Flamengo to finally make her debut with the Sacred Mantle, expressed her eagerness to wear the Brazilian jersey. "I'm very happy to be among those selected. It's always an honor to serve our Brazilian national team, and I hope to be able to help in any way I can. We're competing in a World Cup, and it won't be easy, so I have to be at my best to win this unprecedented title. As for Flamengo, I've been training hard to be ready whenever the opportunity arises," said the defender.

For goalkeeper Stefane, her history with the green and yellow jersey is intertwined with that of the position she found herself in football. "My first call-up to the U-20 team was in 2015, and I completed 15 years there. I have a funny story, because I wasn't a goalkeeper and became one at the end of 2014. I did really well in a match against the national team, and they called me up. I couldn't believe it; it was another dream come true. It was exciting, and I continue to live that dream with each call-up, working really hard for it," she recalled.

Defender Andressa Pereira, Stefane's twin sister, also commented on her happiness at being on the national team. "I was very happy to be called up once again. It's an honor to serve Brazil. We have two friendlies in June and the World Cup in August, and I have the best expectations possible. We're working hard, everyone is focused and giving their best to play excellent games. I came to Flamengo to win every championship possible. I'm working hard, and if the coach needs me, I'm always available," she stated.

The athletes will report to the squad on June 4th, and training will continue until the 14th at Granja Comary in Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro. Afterward, coach Doriva will finalize the list of 23 athletes selected for the World Cup, which will be held in France from August 5th to 24th.
