On the night of last Wednesday (30), Mais Querido beat CFZ, away from home, by 2 to 1 (goals by Flávia and Kaylane Souza). With this result, Rubro-Negro ended the series of friendlies undefeated.
The game
The first half was fairly even. As usual, the team stepped up the pressure, put a lot of pressure on the opposing defense when moving the ball out, and created good chances through Mariana Fernandes and Pimenta, but were unable to score. Despite their persistence, including shots hitting the post, the score remained tied until halftime.
Upon returning, coach Marcos Gaspar took the opportunity to rotate the team, making changes to almost every position. Just four minutes in, CFZ opened the scoring with a penalty kick. Undeterred, Flamengo increased the pressure, moving largely into the attacking half, and equalized. Ana Portugal delivered a perfect corner kick, and Flávia headed the ball unmarked into the back of the net. The comeback came soon after. Kaylane Souza made a tackle in the middle, noticed the goalkeeper was out of position, and chipped the ball over the top. A real treat: 2-1. Flamengo created several more chances, but the match ended like that.
