U-20s beat the Vale Warriors 14-0 in the Unifoot Diamond Pro Cup
Anny Marabá scored five goals and was the star of the game; Laís, just 14 years old, shone with two great goals in the second half
By Rafael Rezende - inIn a match valid for the second round of the Unifoot Diamond Pro Cup, Mengão's U-20s had a great collective performance and beat the Guerreiras do Vale 14-0 on the afternoon of last Saturday (9), at CEFAN. The red-black goals were scored by Anny Marabá (5), Ana Donato (2), Laís (2), Letícia (2), Diovanna, Ju Lopes and Mariana Fernandes.
The game
The home team, Mais Querido, started the match on the attack and created several opportunities through Pimentinha, Letícia, and Kaylane Júnior in the first ten minutes, but failed to score. In the 16th minute, Alessandra sent a beautiful pass to Anny Marabá, who dribbled past the goalkeeper and slotted it into the net. In the 22nd minute, Pimentinha crossed, and Marabá simply tapped it in: 2-0. Inspired, the forward scored the third on the following play, receiving a beautiful pass from Ana Laura. In the 27th minute, Letícia took a shot from outside the box into the corner: 4-0. The fifth came in the 35th minute. Ana Laura went to the byline and crossed for Mariana Fernandes, who headed it in firmly. There was still time before halftime for the sixth, scored by Letícia.
In the second half, the Meninas da Gávea continued to press despite the tight score. In the fifth minute, Ju Lopes, who replaced Kaylane Júnior at halftime, pounced on a rebound and slotted the ball into the corner: 7-0. The eighth goal came soon after, with a superb strike from Anny Marabá. In the tenth minute, Laís, who had just come on, fired a perfectly placed shot into the corner. The tenth was again from Anny Marabá. In the 27th minute, Laís made no mistake from the edge of the box: 11-0. In the 33rd and 34th minutes, Ana Donato scored twice (one from the penalty spot and the other after an assist from Bela Souza, who was making her debut that day), and in stoppage time, Diovanna sealed the victory. The left-back calmly burst into the box and made it 14-0.
