U-20s thrashed Goiás 6-0 and took the lead in Group E of the Brasileirão

Pimentinha, Letícia, Maria Peck, Duda Rodrigues, Anny Marabá and Gica scored the goals for Rubro-Negro

On Sunday night (8), Mengão won its second match in the Brazilian Women's Under-20 Championship. With goals from Pimentinha, Letícia, Maria Peck, Duda Rodrigues, Anny Marabá and Gica, Mais Querido beat Goiás 6-0 and reached seven points in the competition, taking the lead in the group.

The game

Repeating their recent performances, the Meninas da Gávea started the match looking for a goal, which soon came. Just two minutes in, Letícia crossed and Pimentinha headed home firmly: 1-0. After scoring, the team maintained their strong pace and extended their lead in the 28th minute. Letícia made a beautiful run down the left, burst into the box, and struck powerfully, leaving the goalkeeper no chance. In the 34th minute, Maria Peck received a good pass, shot into the corner, the ball grazed the post and went in. The fourth came from Duda Rodrigues. The number 11 received a beautiful pass from Kethilyn and hit a fantastic first-time shot: 4-0 and a large lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, Celso Silva's team continued to create numerous opportunities and never lost momentum. In the seventh minute, Duda Rodrigues made a beautiful play and passed the ball to Anny Marabá, who slid it into the back of the net. In the closing stages, Mariana Fernandes created a spectacular move through the middle and set up Gica, who came in alone and skillfully beat the opposing goalkeeper to seal the victory: 6-0.
