The Guanabara Cup of the U-20 Women's Carioca Championship has a new leader. On the morning of this Sunday (4), in a direct confrontation held at CT Vale das Laranjeiras, Flamengo defeated Fluminense 2-0, with goals from Pimenta and Anny Marabá, surpassing their opponent in the standings and taking first place. The team's next match will be on Wednesday, against Serra Macaense, at Moacyrzão Stadium.

The game 

Even away from home, Mengão didn't compromise on its strategy and pressured the opponent from the first minute of possession. As time went on, opportunities began to appear, and the first goal came. In the 33rd minute, Ingrid took a corner kick that was headed by Pimenta, who only had to deflect it. Undeterred by their lead, Mengão had more chances in the aftermath. In the 37th minute, Anny Marabá lined up, shot from the edge of the box, and the ball went just wide. Before halftime, Duda Rodrigues attempted a good shot but failed to convert.

In the second half, just seven minutes in, Ingrid took another excellent corner kick, and it was Anny Marabá's turn to finish and make it 2-0. After the second goal, Celso Silva's team continued to create plenty of chances and dominate every move, with a solid defensive line of Isa Cruz, Ana Laura, Kethilyn, Lorena, and Ingrid, who provided two assists, standing out. In the 43rd minute, captain Mariana Fernandes dribbled past the defender, adjusted her body, and ended up blocked. In stoppage time, Tuane came on alone and nearly scored, but it ended like that. A victory in the derby and a lead secured.
