In a one-off match in the fourth round of the U-20 Women's Carioca Championship, Flamengo won again and remained firmly in the lead of the Taça Guanabara. Away from home, at Moacyrzão Stadium, Flamengo beat Serra Macaense 1-0 and reached 15 points (three were automatically earned because Duque de Caxias withdrew from the competition). The goal was scored by Mariana Fernandes.
The game
Facing an opponent that started the match on the defensive, the team needed patience to open the scoring. After numerous attempts, including a shot off the post by Tuane, the goal came in the 30th minute. Mariana Fernandes pounced on a rebound, won the ball in the penalty area, and fired a powerful shot into the top corner. With the advantage, the Mais Querido created good opportunities but were stopped by goalkeeper Maria Alyce.
In the second half, Anny Marabá had two good chances, and captain Mariana also tried, but the score remained unchanged. With the team's superiority, which continued until the final whistle, Celso Silva gave young right-back Yasmin Maciel a debut, and the team secured the victory without any scares.
