Yasmin Maciel is Flamengo's new signing for the U-20 team

South American U-17 champion with the National Team, right-back arrives motivated: "I want to represent the Nation well"

With the start of the U-20 Rio de Janeiro State Championship approaching and the U-17 season underway, Flamengo continues to strengthen its youth ranks with an eye on the future. The latest addition is Yasmin Maciel, who won the South American Championship with the Brazilian national team in March of this year and was at Ferroviária. She has already undergone medical examinations and has begun training under Celso Silva.

Known for her quality in defense and attack, the right-back also plays on the left, her greatest asset. One of the youngest athletes to appear in competitions organized by the CBF (she was 13 when the tournaments were held at U-18 level), Yasmin is thrilled with the deal. In a quick interview with the Mais Querido's official website, the "Girl from Gávea" spoke about her main goals and praised the reception.

"My expectations are high; I want to represent the nation well and honor the Sacred Mantle. My goal is to win many titles, and I will work towards that. The reception, both from the group and the coaching staff, was the best possible. I was welcomed and already feel like part of the family. And it's like the anthem says, right? Once Flamengo, always Flamengo," she said, with a wide smile on her face.
