The Flamengo squad returned to training this Friday afternoon (4) at Ninho do Urubu, and the focus is already on Internacional, Flamengo's next opponent in the Brazilian Championship. Before the start of activities at the CT, Everton Ribeiro discussed the match next Sunday (6), at Maracanã.

"We expect a difficult game against a team that's trying to establish itself and has great players. It won't be easy, but with the fans filling the Maracanã and setting our pace on the field, we hope to play another great game and stay among the leaders," said the number 7.

The midfielder was also asked about the competition for positions within the squad and hopes that the group can properly assimilate all of Barbieri's requests in order to remain at the top of the table.

"Every player who is playing, from the youngest to the oldest, deserves to be there. That goes for me too. We know what we have to do, and Mauricio is trying to find the best team. We've played some good matches, and now we're going to keep doing everything we can to keep improving."

Finally, Everton Ribeiro highlighted the progress he has made working with Maurício Barbieri in training.

"I think we've had some time to work together now, and we're able to show composure. He's trying to convey as much as possible to us on the field, and when the results come, everything becomes easier. The system is working, and that way there's more time to work."
