Early in the afternoon of this Thursday (17), defender Pablo was presented at Ninho do Urubu as Flamengo's new reinforcement. The defender gave a press conference with journalists present. Accompanied by his family, the player expressed happiness in wearing the Sacred Mantle and promised to give his life for the club. Check out some excerpts from the press conference.
"I'm very happy, excited, and motivated to contribute as much as possible. I'll give my life for this immensely great club that carries a very important shirt. Efforts were made on both sides. Flamengo was very successful in the negotiation, and I'm also very grateful for all this effort and for the opportunity to continue my career here."
Watch the 'Classic of Millions'
"It was a feeling unlike anything I've ever seen, a passionate crowd that supported the team for the entire 90 minutes. It was very loud during the game. I have the opportunity to continue my career and do everything I've done before, but with a lot of responsibility. Flamengo is known worldwide. I'm ready."
I work with Paulo Sousa
"I have a lot of trust in the coach. He's implementing a work philosophy at Flamengo, and that requires adaptation. I believe that, over time, the team will have its pieces better defined. Over time, the work will fall into place perfectly."
“European Flamengo” in Brazil
"I've already said this on FlaTV. Flamengo is a European team in Brazil. I'm not just saying this to boost my standing with the fans or management, but because of the structure. I spent several years in European football. If Flamengo isn't better, it's on par (with the European teams). We have a lot of quality and we'll compete for every title."
Choose Flamengo
"Some professional details made me here. The greatness of the club, the jersey, and the strength. The signals were very clear. When my agent said Braz was going to call me, I said, 'No, I'm going to Rio.' I'm very happy and honored to be participating in this great project that is Flamengo."
