Márcio Araújo stands out in decisive matches with solid performances.

Beyond the collective performance and the tremendous support from the fans, attention was also focused on midfielder Márcio Araújo. The Flamengo number eight showed incredible stamina, disarming opponents and contributing to the team's attacking play.
Araújo has completed 180 passes in the continental competition. He is the second-best Flamengo player in this category, behind only Willian Arão, who has 183. Against Universidad Católica, he had 44 successful passes and only one inaccurate pass. In the five rounds of the competition, he has only made six inaccurate passes.

The midfielder also stands out in the Rio de Janeiro state championship. Flamengo is the club with the most successful tackles in the competition – 217 – and Márcio was responsible for 21 of these, second only to Willian Arão. This number places the midfield duo among the top five ball-winners in the state championship. In the tournament, Márcio completed 417 passes and missed only 13 – an impressive 96,97% accuracy rate.
His performance on the field in the fifth round of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Bridgestone was rewarded with recognition from the fans. With great fighting spirit, he gave his all at every moment and had his name chanted on more than one occasion.
