Coach Ney Franco lamented the draw with Sport this Sunday, despite playing away from home. He believed Flamengo could have won the match. "I'm a little frustrated, we were ahead twice and Sport showed they had the quality to get the result. It was a high-quality match," said the coach. Ney's only complaint was Sport's equalizer. In the coach's view, Marlon Washington wasn't missed. "The goal came from a foul that didn't exist. Fumagalli showed their quality and equalized," the coach admitted. Despite being unhappy with the draw, Ney Franco knows he could have even lost the game. "We controlled the game until the 30th minute of the second half. After the equalizer, they really improved. They could have even turned the game around," he concluded. This Monday is the day off for the entire squad. Training for the week begins on Tuesday, with a view to the match against Figueirense in Florianópolis.
