"Accustomed" to scoring in Ceará, Angelim wanted the victory
The defender wasn't so excited about his goal this Wednesday, as Flamengo conceded the equalizer at the end

Ronaldo Angelim's last goal for Flamengo in the Brazilian Championship came in the final match of the 2009 competition, when the Red-Black team won the championship. Since then, the lean, steely player hadn't found the net, but fate was kind to him again: the number 4 scored again in 'his homeland,' in front of family and friends, in yet another comeback (up until then 2-1). The saddest part was the 2-2 result, secured by Ceará in the final minutes.
And the draw ended up frustrating Angelim's celebration at the end of the game. Always candid in his interviews, the defender made a point of saying that he really wanted to leave Fortaleza with the three points to ease Flamengo's situation in the Brasileirão.
"The result for the second half was very poor. I was fortunate enough to score the goal, and we had other chances to kill the game. We couldn't convert, and Ceará ended up getting there and scoring theirs. I hope that from now on, victories will come. Only then will we be able to get Flamengo out of this difficult situation," he stated.
Even though he didn't want to celebrate scoring the goal, Ronaldo Angelim confessed that he did feel a special pleasure in scoring at Castelão, where he played so much, especially against Ceará.
"I'm very happy to play here. Even more so against Ceará, which I've become so accustomed to. And I was also used to scoring goals here. Today it happened again. This goal will give me more confidence to continue striving for the best for Flamengo," concluded Angelim.
Flamengo's squad will return to Rio de Janeiro late in the afternoon this Thursday (04.11). On Friday (05.11), the players will return for training at the club's training center, Ninho do Urubu, at 16:30 pm, to prepare for the match against Atlético-PR, on Sunday (07.11), in Volta Redonda.
