Striker Adriano was rested from Flamengo's final training session today at Beira-Rio, but is confirmed for tomorrow's match against Internacional. Since coach Andrade only led a set-piece session followed by the traditional recreational session, the player was rested, underwent physical therapy, and only took the field to referee the recreational session.
- He felt pain in training yesterday, was spared from the activity, but told me he is feeling well and will play - said doctor Walter Martins.
With the Emperor confirmed, the red-black concern is to contain the Colorado's momentum to seek a victory considered fundamental for Flamengo to continue fighting for a place among the teams that qualify for the 2010 Libertadores.
"They'll certainly try to make up for the defeat they suffered in the first round, and we need to be very careful. The most important thing is to go in focused and play a great match," commented Petkovic.
Coach Andrade will only announce the lineup moments before tomorrow's match
