On the Rooster's side, Diego Tardelli, with 18 goals, and leading the red-black attack, Adriano, with 17. For the Fla striker, the dispute for the top scorer is being an added attraction in the competition.

"The competition is going very well. He and I are helping our teams with goals. It's a healthy competition. He plays more on the wings, he's fast, and he knows how to score goals. For me, being the top scorer in the Brazilian Championship is important, but it's not my main goal. I want to help Flamengo stay in the top four."

Hungry for goals, Adriano said he is looking forward to the weekend's decisive match.

"I know a little about the history of this duel between Flamengo and Atlético-MG. The rivalry is huge, as the two teams won several championships in the 80s. I didn't watch it, but I've heard a lot about these games. I'm sure Sunday will be another great match. I'm looking forward to getting on the field."
