Adriano: “I’m looking forward to seeing the Maracanã full”
The striker is confirmed for Sunday's match against Atlético-PR in the Brazilian Championship.
By Flamengo Archive - inThe day of his debut has arrived. Confirmed by coach Cuca for Sunday's match against Atlético-PR at Maracanã, striker Adriano stated he's very excited about the reunion with the red-and-black fans. The Emperor called on the fans for the match and said he hopes to start a new cycle at Gávea with goals.
"I'm a little nervous, I admit. Despite my experience, it's going to be incredibly exciting to play for Flamengo again at Maracanã. I'm looking forward to seeing a full Maracanã. I hope the fans turn out not just for this match, but for every game this season. We really need the fans, and I'm counting on their support."
Adriano said he still doesn't know whether he will start the match or be on the bench.
"We're talking to see what's best. I'm very happy and willing, but we'll see what's best for me. We'll wait for Cuca's decision, but the important thing is that I'll play. I think the second half would be ideal for me, because the game is already more paced and slower. I'll do everything I can to help the team get this victory."
