With the Copa do Brasil over, Flamengo turns its attention to the Campeonato Brasileiro. This Monday, the team faces Ponte Preta in Campinas at 20 p.m., seeking a victory that will earn it, in addition to the three points, fifth place in the standings and a return to the Libertadores zone. With 39 points, a win will allow Flamengo to overtake Botafogo and Cruzeiro once and for all, providing them with peace of mind to work on over the next 10 days. Their next match will be on October 12th, against Fluminense, also in the Campeonato Brasileiro.

In the final preparation for this Monday's game, coach Reinaldo Rueda said that the players have focused on the remaining competitions and that the work will be more intense in search of improving results and victories.
"Today we had a meeting with all the players, directors, and coaching staff to let us know that we have to keep moving forward. We want more, and we know we have two major challenges ahead: the Brasileirão and the Copa Sudamericana. It's our job to improve day by day. We have a good mix of young and experienced players who know this is how football is played. Our commitment is to always win on the field, and we'll work to achieve that," he said.
