Coming from Nova Iguaçu's youth academy, 18-year-old Airton will have his first chance with Flamengo's senior team on Sunday against Vasco. Having spent only three months at Gávea, the player is confident he'll perform well in the derby.

- "I'm ready to play a good game. I'm working hard to take advantage of this opportunity," said the player, who looked quite nervous at the press conference.

Shyly, Airton told the red-black fans a little about his story.

- "I come from a very simple family. I started at 13 in the youth ranks of Nova Iguaçu, and at the end of last year Adílio noticed me and asked me to sign him. It's a great feeling to be able to play for Flamengo, the club my whole family supports. I hope to establish myself among the professionals so I can help my parents."
