Alan Patrick: "Nobody wants to make mistakes"
Midfielder laments result at Arena das Dunas but sees good performance from the red-black team
By John Pedro Ribeiro* - inWith the 2-1 defeat in this Sunday's (26) classic against Fluminense, Mais Querido dropped to sixth place in the Brazilian Championship and remained with 17 points - just two points from the Libertadores qualification zone and three points from the runner-up. Despite the good chances created and the good pace of play, Flamengo was unable to leave Arena das Dunas with the victory. Defender Rafael Vaz lamented the defeat.
"I'm not a boy anymore. Now it's time to lift my head, but today (Sunday) for me is mourning," said Vaz.
Midfielder Alan Patrick followed the same line as the defender, but praised the team.
"Nobody wants to make a mistake, of course, but with the field being so slippery, the ball ended up going to the opponent. They were fortunate. I think the team played well and played a balanced game. Now we'll prepare, push hard, and come back," commented the midfielder.
