Alecsandro is no longer a Flamengo player. The striker's contract was amicably terminated on Friday afternoon (05.06). To preserve the player's physical condition and not interfere with any ongoing negotiations, Alecsandro will not be selected for the Mais Querido's match against Chapecoense, this Saturday, at 18:30 pm, at Maracanã.

"Alecsandro is leaving Flamengo now because we were unable to secure an extension to his contract with the club. I appreciate everything he has done for Flamengo and wish him much success in his further career," said president Eduardo Bandeira de Mello.
