At Flamengo's squad reunion this afternoon at the Ninho do Urubu Training Center, defender Álvaro couldn't hide his joy at his impressive debut in the red-and-black jersey. The 31-year-old, number 14, was full of praise for the Flamengo team's performance in the last Brazilian Championship match.

"It was a good debut, as I expected. Starting off with a win is always very important. The team's attitude was excellent, with everyone showing great commitment. We created several scoring chances and dominated the match. Now we have to work hard this week to maintain this momentum. We hope to improve even further to reach our goal, which is the top four."
