Since defender Álvaro's arrival, Flamengo has been undefeated in the Brazilian Championship. They've won three games, against Santo André, Sporting CP, and Coritiba, and drawn one against Atlético-PR. Álvaro believes the squad's dedication and commitment have been crucial to the club's growth.

"The joy is seeing everyone mobilizing in every game to prevent goals, increasing the level of concentration and competitiveness. Obviously, with this, the results appear, as they are now. The fact that we haven't conceded goals is a testament to the safety of the entire team. We're experiencing an important moment, with the sectors functioning well, the attack performing well with Adriano, Pet, Denis, and Zé. And the defense is also showing the confidence everyone expects."

Former Internacional player Álvaro said that Flamengo goes to Porto Alegre confident of achieving a good result.

"In the Copa do Brasil, I was with Inter, and I remember how difficult it was to face Flamengo. I remember the game at Maracanã, where Flamengo had possession and created good chances. Today, we're living in a different moment. It's a new system of play; we used to have three defenders, now we have four. It's a different situation. Inter is a title contender, coming off two losses, and we don't know what will happen in the match. But we're confident we'll win because it's a game that could decide a lot for us."

Experienced, the number 14 wants the Fla group to think about one match at a time.

"We're working one game at a time, but I confess I've already done some calculations. I think it's important not to lose focus, the locker-room mentality—that's what helped São Paulo win the title last year. This focus can help us now reach the top four, and who knows, the title later. It's one step at a time, always striving for improvement."
