One of the people responsible for Flamengo's impressive run in the Brazilian Championship, defender Álvaro praised the dedication and commitment of all the Flamengo players and coaching staff. According to the number 14, everyone shares the same goal of leading Flamengo to the top of the table.
"All the players are being crucial. From those not in the squad, like Lenon, Alex Cruz, and Paulo Victor, to Adriano, Pet, and Bruno. Their commitment in training is contagious. And that's important because everyone is on the same page. That's been our star player in the competition."
Álvaro said that Fla's objective in the Brasileirão remains a place in the Libertadores, even with the red-black team two points behind leaders São Paulo.
"Our first goal is to secure a spot in the Libertadores. We're fighting for it. A win in Recife could put us in a very favorable position to face Goiás at Maracanã. We'll fight hard to get a good result at Aflitos."
