Álvaro cleared to face Barueri
Number 14 should form a defensive duo with Ronaldo Angelim, who returns after serving a suspension.

Flamengo's squad returned to training Monday afternoon in Gávea. With an eye on their next Brazilian Championship match, Wednesday against Barueri in São Paulo, the players participated only in recovery training the day after their 1-0 victory over Botafogo. The rest of the squad trained technically with assistant coach Marcelo Sales.
Recovering from pain in his right knee, defender Álvaro trained separately with fitness coach Alexandre Sanz and has been cleared by the medical department for Wednesday's match. With Ronaldo Angelim back from suspension against Botafogo, coach Andrade is expected to field his starting central defense against the São Paulo team.
Petkovic, who complained of pain in his right thigh during the match against Botafogo, underwent treatment in the physical therapy room and did not require an MRI. Suspended from the match against Barueri, the Serbian is not a concern for the coaching staff for the match against Santos next Saturday.
