Paper and pen in hand
Let's wait and see. We wanted a more emphatic victory, but we couldn't get it. They came out like snipers, created three scoring chances and scored two. We chased after them and scored three. We've already done our math today and we'll see what happens. It's really tough having to root for other teams, but we'll do it.
Two creative midfielders and two defensive midfielders
Our midfield played well. They set up two lines of four players and kept looking for counterattacks.
Without whistling
I have nothing to say about the officiating. I don't have the best view of most plays from where I sit. Sometimes I say something here and, when I get home, I realize I made a mistake.
Adversary
Caracas has a good team. They know the Libertadores and aren't weak, as some say. As I said, they had three chances and scored twice. We had 12, one of which was Léo Moura's, which their player cleared from almost inside the goal. They came here to avoid playing. They played counter-play.
Lamentation
What I regret most is that goal we conceded against Universidad de Chile, here at Maracanã. We relaxed and ended up conceding an equalizer at the end of the game. With those two points, we would have qualified.
Attack
We can't rely on attacking to score goals. If you remember, in the last Brasileirão game last year, both of our defenders scored.
Merit
I think we deserve to qualify, yes. Maybe the other teams deserve it more than us? I'm not sure.
cheering
This is a time when we need to remain calm. Fans pay for tickets and have the right to boo. They're right not to like the result. We can't get into conflict with our fans.
