Looking ahead to tomorrow's match against Barueri in São Paulo, the Flamengo squad returned to training this Tuesday afternoon at Gávea. The match is crucial for the red-and-black team, which could reach the top four of the Brazilian Championship for the first time.
For the match, coach Andrade will be able to count on the return of his starting center-back duo. Recovered from pain in his right knee, defender Álvaro participated normally in recreational training and is confirmed to play alongside Ronaldo Angelim, who served a suspension in the game against Botafogo.
Andrade said that the return of the starting duo will bring more experience to the Flamengo team.
"I just won't be able to count on Pet for this game, and that's very good, since I have practically all the players at my disposal. The return of the starting center-back duo is very important because they are experienced players who can help a lot in this complicated match we have ahead. For Pet's spot, I'm still studying to choose the best option. I could move Zé back to play that role, or start Erick Flores. I'll only decide tomorrow."
