Andrade confirms Adriano-Vagner Love duo against Bangu

Flamengo fans have excellent reasons to attend the João Havelange Olympic Stadium, known as Engenhão, this Saturday afternoon. In a press conference earlier this evening, coach Andrade displayed good humor when confirming the starting lineup of the forward duo Adriano and Vagner Love. "If you were the coach, who would you pick?" he responded to a journalist's question.
Andrade also explained that he will keep midfielder Petkovic on the bench, as he did in the victory over Volta Redonda on Wednesday (January 20). According to Andrade, it would be risky to start three players who haven't participated in preseason training since the beginning - Adriano and Léo Moura have already confirmed their starting lineups. "There could be a risk of having to make a substitution too early. I have a great relationship with Petkovic, I spoke with him and he understood perfectly," said the Flamengo coach.
With the decision to rest the 37-year-old Serbian, Andrade announced the lineup with Vinicius Pacheco in midfield and Everton Silva at left-back. Willians remains out after sustaining an injury in the season opener against Duque de Caxias.
Flamengo's team should be lined up with Bruno; Leonardo Moura, Álvaro, Ronaldo Angelim and Everton Silva; Toró, Fernando, Kleberson and Vinicius Pacheco; Adriano and Vagner Love.

It was in the 2004 Copa América, in a 4-1 victory over Costa Rica. The match in Arequipa, Peru, featured a strong performance by Adriano, who scored three goals. Interestingly, Kleberson also played in that match.
