Andrade gives credit to the Chilean team for the victory

Coach doesn't think Flamengo did badly, but wants positive results at home

Flamengo's rematch against Universidad de Chile has already been scheduled: April 7th. The red-and-blacks host the Chileans at Maracanã, and coach Andrade is not interested in any slip-ups. Although he considers Wednesday's result in Santiago to be normal, the coach urges the team not to repeat any mistakes in the future.

\

According to him, the match was very even, and either team could have left the field with all three points. Unfortunately, the lucky ones were the home team.

\

"The game was balanced, very fast-paced, and we could have even won. We were better in the second half, but due to small mistakes, we didn't win. Credit to their team, who managed to take advantage of their opportunities and won the game," he analyzed.

\

Andrade only asks his players not to repeat some of the mistakes made in today's match in the return leg. After all, at home, Flamengo has to prove its worth.

\

"Playing at Maracanã, Flamengo has the obligation to win the two remaining games, return to the top, and secure qualification. There are no easy games in the Libertadores. Everyone knew the difficulties. We ended up making mistakes and paid for them. But this game served as an experience so we don't repeat the same mistakes next time," he explained.

\

The coach also prefers not to point fingers at anyone for the defeat. Neither goalkeeper Bruno, who allegedly made a mistake on the second goal, nor the travel logistics, which he believes were perfect.

\

"The logistics were good, everything was done correctly, and that didn't influence the defeat in any way. No one deserves to be crucified for today's result. Especially Bruno, who saved the team last week. Everyone makes mistakes; that's football," he concluded.

Flamengo returns to the field on Sunday, at 19:30 pm, to face Botafogo, for the Taça Rio, second round of the Campeonato Carioca.
