"This title was written. God placed His hand on Flamengo and said it would be champion." Andrade put the sixth title for Flamengo in the hands of fate and God. As always, humble and deeply moved, the coach celebrated the title won this Sunday. After all, Andrade, once again, made history.

He was the first red-and-black team to win Brazilian championship as both a player and a coach, winning his sixth national title, another unprecedented feat, and becoming the only Black player to win Brazilian championship as a coach. There's no shortage of reasons for the red-and-black manager to be thrilled. This Monday, he could even be named coach of the year in the Brazilian Championship's Best Coach poll, organized by the CBF.

"I've already taken the suit out of the closet and dusted it off, because I haven't worn it in a long time. Let's see if it still fits. If not, I'll buy another one," joked Andrade, who, more seriously, compared the emotions of lifting the trophy as a player and as a coach.

"As a coach, it's much more difficult. As a player, you give a piece of yourself. As a manager, your hands are tied. Obviously, the manager has his share of contribution, as he selects the team, makes the changes, sometimes gets it wrong and sometimes gets it right... But this title is more special than the ones from his playing days," he analyzed.

Soon after, he spoke out against those who doubted his ability as a coach and also the strength of Flamengo.

"It has a special flavor. A lot of people didn't believe me, they said I shouldn't take on the role, that I was incapable, and I proved them wrong. Delair and Marcos Braz gave me the opportunity and believed in me, even after losing three games... There was a lot of criticism... From now on, I hope people think differently about me," said Andrade, who concluded by highlighting the quality of his group.

"I'm here as a representative of that winning generation. If Zico didn't accept, it's because he had other offers. I accepted knowing that if you don't do well here, you could erase everything you've done in the past. But I believed, because I'm a highly positive person, and it worked... When many people thought the team would fight to avoid relegation, we fought, we overcame it, and we started beating opponents who claimed to be favorites. Internally, we always believed in the title, but we didn't make that public. By the time they realized it, Flamengo was already in the fight, and by then it was too late. The others can lament this defeat now. This team beat Palmeiras there, São Paulo, Atlético-MG at Mineirão, Náutico there... We won on merit," he concluded.
