An early goal undermines any game strategy. Flamengo's loss to Universidad Católica this Wednesday was further proof of this. Flamengo conceded the first goal with less than two minutes on the clock. For coach Andrade, this ultimately made all the difference.

"We conceded a goal after two minutes, and the team ended up losing their way in the first half. We struggled a lot, we got our act together in the second half, but unfortunately we couldn't convert the chances we had. We knew how they were going to play, we had planned it well, but that goal right at the start shook the team's emotions," he analyzed.

The red-and-black coach preferred not to make individual analyses. According to Andrade, the entire team ended up underperforming.

"The team was a bit underwhelming as a whole; it's impossible to make an individual analysis. Our marking didn't work, and everything we tried went wrong. I was hoping for a better performance. Even if this game were to end tomorrow, we wouldn't have scored a single goal," he said.

Despite this, the manager continues to believe that Flamengo can go far in the competition.

"Not all is lost. We have a chance to turn things around and reach the final. There are many teams that come through as the best in the first phase and are eliminated soon after, as well as others that struggle and improve in the knockout stages. We can reach ten points, and no one here will stop believing and we will fight until the last minute for the spot," he concluded.
