Andrade does not announce the lineup for this Saturday's game

The coach still doesn't know which team he will field to face Macaé in the Rio Cup debut.

The options are numerous. The open positions are few. Therefore, coach Andrade will have to rack his brains in the remaining hours until the match between Flamengo and Macaé kicks off this Saturday at 19:30 pm in Volta Redonda. The coach has not yet decided on replacements for Adriano and Kleberson, who have been called up to the Brazilian national team, and is therefore still considering the best way to field the red-and-black team for its debut in the Rio Cup.

To replace the five-time World Cup winner from 2002, the options are: Fernando (the most likely), Lenon (who would move Willians forward to the third midfielder position), and Fierro (who would make the team more attacking). Up front, Vagner Love could have two teammates. If midfielder Ramón joins the team, Vinícius Pacheco will move forward. If Bruno Mezenga plays Adriano's role, the same formation will be maintained.

\

"I haven't decided on the team yet. I'll analyze my options. One is to move Pacheco forward to play with Love. We can also leave Mezenga with Love. There's also the possibility of Ramón coming in. There are other possibilities too, like bringing in Lenon, moving Willians forward," explained Andrade, who will also be without two other players, Alvaro and Petkovic, who experienced thigh pain.

\

"I felt pain in my thigh, so I decided to talk to Dr. Runco, Andrade, and the entire coaching staff. They thought it best if I didn't travel to treat the injury. I ended up stretching my leg too much on a play late in the match against Universidad Católica and felt it. But the defense is still strong," explained Alvaro, who will make way for David.

Another returning goalkeeper is Bruno. Having recovered from injury, he's confirmed for the Volta Redonda game this Saturday.
