Andrade doesn't see a favorite for the semifinals

Rubro-Negro coach predicts a tough game against Botafogo on Ash Wednesday

The famous maxim that "a classic is a classic and vice versa" has become one of the most traditional catchphrases in Brazilian football. And the statement is more than appropriate for coach Andrade's speech for the Guanabara Cup semifinal against Botafogo on Ash Wednesday. The red-and-black coach doesn't see any favorites for the duel and assures that his team will make the most of the days of work ahead.

The group has a day off this Monday, but they'll resume training on Tuesday. And there's no Carnival vibe. The team only has a day off on Sunday, but until then, the manager promises to make his players sweat it out in training at Gávea and Ninho do Urubu.

\

"We're going to prepare ourselves as best we can for this game against Botafogo. We know their game against Vasco was unusual. A classic is a classic, and it's certainly going to be a tough game," Andrade explained.

Young Vinícius Pacheco is in high spirits with the coach. The midfielder had another strong performance this Sunday against Boavista and could be used again as a starter in the match against Botafogo.

"That's a good question. We'll have ten days to decide. I'll only answer this question on Ash Wednesday," he added.
