Andrade will only decide the team in Chile

Coach still doesn't know who to field in Michael and Adriano's places against Católica

Coach Andrade left for Chile on Tuesday morning (13) with doubts in his luggage. The need to achieve a good result against Universidad Católica on Wednesday (14) means the coach doesn't want to rush into naming the team that will face the Chileans in Santiago. Therefore, the manager will only decide who will start in training tonight, on Chilean soil.

The chartered flight arrives in the Chilean capital in the afternoon, and at the end of the day the team heads to the San Carlos de Apoquindo stadium for field inspections. Until then, Andrade will be considering who to field in place of Michael and Adriano, who were injured and did not travel with the group. Vinícius Pacheco, Petkovic, and Bruno Mezenga are in contention.

"I still don't know if I'll start with two strikers or one... I still have some doubts, especially up front, because of the absences of Adriano and Michael. But, as I always say, I'll field the best for Flamengo at the moment," he explained.

The only player with a guaranteed spot in Flamengo's attacking system is Vagner Love. Flamengo's top scorer this season, with 16 goals, guarantees he will shoulder the responsibility and try to ensure the team returns from Santiago with all three points.

"Of course Adriano is missed, especially because he shares the responsibility with me up front. Without him, I'll try to do my best and continue helping the Flamengo team achieve victories, because that's what matters," added the Artilheiro do Amor.
