Angelim admits that Flamengo can no longer afford to drop points at home.
The defender congratulated Athletico Paranaense for holding onto the result, and also Flamengo for their fighting spirit.

Leaving the field defeated at home in a league championship is always very bad. Even more so in the final stretch of the championship, when Flamengo still needs some points to finish the year comfortably. That's what happened this Sunday (November 07.11th) against Atlético-PR. With the adverse result of 1-0, the Rio de Janeiro club needs to do its homework now more than ever.
Always calm in his statements, defender Ronaldo Angelim made a point of praising the opponent's, even overly defensive, approach. After all, Atlético-PR managed to leave the field with three points.
"We improved in the second half, but Atlético retreated to hold onto the result. They occupied the spaces and it became more difficult for us to get to the goal, to penetrate their defense. Even so, we managed to create some scoring opportunities and could have tied or even turned the game around. But that's football. Congratulations to them," he stated, not forgetting that the end of the championship is near.
"There are only four games left and we can't afford to drop any more points at home. This isn't normal. We have to win. We're going to fight until the end to get Flamengo out of this uncomfortable situation, since there are other teams in a worse situation than ours," he concluded.
Flamengo will face Atlético-MG next Saturday (November 13th) at 13.11:30 PM at Arena do Jacaré, in Sete Lagoas (MG). With 40 points, the Rubro-negro occupies 19th position in the standings. This Monday (November 08.11th), the squad will have a day off and on Tuesday (November 09.11th) they will return to work at the club's training center, Ninho do Urubu, at 16:30 PM.
