Every time he returns to Fortaleza, Ronaldo Angelim remembers his difficult childhood and everything he suffered to become an idol for Flamengo fans. From digging artesian wells to overcoming an illness that many said would prevent him from playing football. And there's no doubt that the "Iron Man's" heart will be pounding next week.
Next Wednesday (November 03.11rd), Flamengo faces Ceará at 22 PM at Castelão. It's not against Fortaleza, the team that launched him into national football, but against their rival. In other words, even more motivation to win. Having not played in Ceará for over a year, he anticipates a special feeling during the match.
"If it were against Fortaleza, the expectation would be higher. But Ceará is a rival, it's different playing there. It's always good to return to my homeland and I hope to help Flamengo in this difficult game next Wednesday. It's been a while since I played there. I think the last time was last year, against Fortaleza, in the Copa do Brasil," he explained.
And as expected, there will be a large crowd. Angelim's family will be at the stadium supporting the player and Flamengo as they seek three more points in the Brasileirão.
"My family is getting ready. My father won't be able to go, he'll be taking care of some things, but my brothers and cousins will be there at Castelão. I like playing there, I know the stadium well, I think it's great to be on the field at Castelão," he concluded.
