Angelim celebrates the good phase
“There’s no better place to play than Flamengo,” said the defender.
By Flamengo Archive - inDefender Ronaldo Angelim is one of the most consistent players in the Flamengo squad. In this Brazilian Championship, the Gávea number 4 was one of the players who made the most appearances, 20 in total. Despite his large number of appearances, Angelim didn't receive a yellow card in the 2008 Brasileirão (he was never sent off while wearing the Flamengo jersey) and has helped Flamengo win with outstanding performances. The defender shares the group's strong form.
"This good moment isn't just mine; it's the whole team's. And when the team is doing well, we pick up the pace and improve our performance. But just because I did well in one game and scored a goal doesn't mean I'm in a good run. I haven't performed well in other games, but the performances of other teammates helped us win," said the defender, always showing great humility.
Ronaldo Angelim reveals that he dreams of ending his career defending the red and black colors.
"I try to work hard and always dedicate myself to being available to the coach. I'm very happy here at Flamengo, and it would be great to end my career here. There's no better place to play than Flamengo. I have no reason to consider leaving."
For the player, Sunday's match against São Paulo at Morumbi should be seen as a final for all players in the squad.
-"We have to win on Sunday to stay in the title race. Otherwise, we'll fall further behind. We know the game will be like a final, and we have to go out on the field with that spirit. São Paulo is also fighting for the title, and we need a win to put our minds at ease."
