Angelim celebrates the return of Renato Abreu

It's not just the fans who watched Renato Abreu play between 2005 and 2007 who are happy with the midfielder's return to Flamengo. The midfielder's former teammates, who will now have the opportunity to play alongside the number 11 again, are also thrilled with the signing.
Marcelo Lomba, Leonardo Moura, Ronaldo Angelim, Thiago Sales, Juan, Rômulo, and Toró are some of the players who played for the "King Vulture" in at least one of these seasons. Angelim, who played with Renato in 2006 and 2007, praised his new old teammate.
"Renato is very well-liked, without a doubt. He's a good-natured player, who everyone really likes and who is already known by the club and the fans. He knows how things are around here and has a connection that is fundamental," he said.
The sixth title hero also commented on the signing of Leandro Amaral and the impact of these two reinforcements on the squad.
"For us, the signing of Renato and also the arrival of Leandro are spectacular. They are talented players who can be important. Renato is an additional option in midfield; he shoots very well and creates plays, and Leandro finishes them and puts the ball in the net," he analyzed.
The expectation is that Renato Abreu will be able to debut for Flamengo at the end of the week in the match against Ceará, Saturday (14.08). Leandro Amaral is expected to be back a week later, but as he was praised by coach Toninho Oliveira, he may be ready sooner than expected.
