Angelim praises possible defensive pairings
David, Jean and Welinton have the trust of the sixth title hero, who has no preference for a partner.

The main question mark in Flamengo's lineup for next Sunday is at the back. The Rubro-Negro's defense, the best since the World Cup, having conceded only three goals in seven matches, has many options for few spots. One of them, however, seems to be already decided: on the left of the defense, Ronaldo Angelim plays, experienced, a fan favorite, and with consistent performances that have earned praise from Rogério Lourenço. But who plays alongside him: Welinton, Jean, or David?
For Angelim, it doesn't matter. According to him, any of the three center-backs could form a great partnership to try to maintain Flamengo's low goals-conceded average in the Brasileirão.
"There are three great defenders, each with their own characteristics, and it will be up to Rogério to choose them. As he himself said, we are well-served in that position; we have four players to play two, but I'm sure whoever comes in will do their best to ensure Flamengo returns from Curitiba with a victory," he said.
Next Sunday (22.08), Rubro-Negro faces Atlético-PR, at Arena da Baixada, knowing that it will have a complicated match ahead. However, it relies on dedication and the strength of its marking to return from Curitiba with a positive result.
"Last year, we played there and managed a draw, which was a good result. But I believe Atlético-PR is the toughest team to face at home in the Brasileirão. All the teams that play at the Arena have difficulties, their fans really put pressure on them, and they're in a difficult position in the table. We're going there knowing this, but with a strong desire to win," he added.
