Angelim asks for support from fans at Engenhão
Defender I believe that the Red-Black Nation should show up in force for Luxemburgo's debut in Rio
By From the official website team - inCoach Vanderlei Luxemburgo will play his first match in charge of Flamengo in Rio de Janeiro this Saturday (October 16.10). A large crowd is expected for the match against Internacional at the Engenhão stadium. This isn't just because the match is special for the coach, but also because tickets are cheaper. The team is currently enjoying a strong run in the Brazilian Championship.
Defender Ronaldo Angelim, who will be back in the starting lineup this weekend, believes the red-and-blacks will turn out in force at the stadium.
"The fans will definitely show up. Just the fact that Vanderlei is there on the sidelines is enough to bring in a crowd. The fans will support us, especially with the team playing well, and it's up to us to repay them with a victory," he said.
The defender believes that, given the Rubro-Negro's good performances in recent rounds, fans can be confident of new positive results in the rest of the competition.
"The team has been playing well, especially since Vanderlei arrived. So I believe we have to keep improving. That's the only way we'll get the fans on our side," he added.
