Angelim wants to take three more points
After having his face bandaged, the defender promises to give his all to secure victory against Vasco.
By From the team at Flamengo's official website - in"Giving your all on the field" is a widely used expression in the world of soccer, meaning that an athlete will give their all in the match. However, on Thursday (July 29.07), Ronaldo Angelim learned the literal meaning. Hit by an accidental elbow during Flamengo's tactical training session in Gávea, the player left the field with a cut below his right eye.
Quickly attended to by the medical department, he needed three stitches in his face, but he's not a concern for the derby. The best proof of this is that the player even wanted to return to training, but when he left the locker room, training was already over. "Hey, is it over yet?" the defender asked.
In a good mood, Angelim said he expects another three points on Sunday (01.08), against Vasco. But, this time, in the table.
"With three more that I have here, that's six, right? (laughs) I hope we get these three points because they're important for us," said the defender, who explained that a Clássico dos Milhões is a match that's really worth giving your all for.
"It's a game where you have to give your all. I took an elbow, unintentionally, but that's part of it, it's just an occasional incident. I ended up taking three points, but I hope we can get a positive result against Vasco. In this type of match, the sacrifice is worth it," he added.
