Flamengo's 120th anniversary will feature a friendly against Orlando City

The Red-Black Nation will be celebrating on November 15th, when Clube de Regatas do Flamengo celebrates 120 years of glory. To commemorate the occasion, several events have been planned, beginning on the 14th at Gávea and at Sede Náutica, and concluding on the 15th with a friendly match between Flamengo and Orlando City, one of the most popular soccer teams in the United States, at 15:30 pm at Maracanã.
The match's opponent wasn't chosen by chance. The team for which Brazilian Kaká plays is one of the most popular in the United States, boasting the second-highest average attendance in the 2015 National Championship—32.847 fans per match—a record for a team debuting in the top soccer leagues in the United States and Canada.

The "Lions"—as Orlando City's players are known—are eager to arrive in Rio de Janeiro. They're expected to arrive on the 13th and, before the celebratory match, explore the Marvelous City and hold at least one training session in Gávea.

Those who attend Maracanã will also be able to see some of Flamengo's greatest idols in action, as the preliminary match will be between Flamengo's Masters and a team made up of artists. Athletes who made history at the Mais Querido and Flamengo personalities will also be honored on the pitch. For the friendly against Orlando City, celebrating the club's 120th anniversary, Flamengo, as a way of thanking its fans, will offer promotional ticket prices.
