Now it's Libertadores! This Tuesday (02), coach Abel Braga led the last training session in preparation for the match against Peñarol. Before the activity, midfielder Everton Ribeiro gave a press conference in the Victorino Chermont Press Room, at Ninho do Urubu. 

"Our start is good, but we have to confirm it with a positive result. We are prepared. Victories give us the morale to continue our pursuit of the title. Our fans will be there and it will be a great test for us," emphasized the number 7. 

Asked about the importance of Wednesday's match, Ribeiro commented on the difficulty Flamengo will face. 

"It's a difficult game. We know the importance of tomorrow's game and we can't fall into the trap of thinking that playing at home is easier.""They'll be waiting for us to make a mistake, and we'll be watching closely throughout the game."

The Uruguayan style of play in the Libertadores Cup is known throughout the Americas, and Éverton discussed how Flamengo's approach on the field should be. 

"We just have to play football, regardless of what Peñarol does. I believe they're coming to play football. It's natural that they want to slow the game down, but we have to control our anxiety; it can't get in our way. Everyone has to keep a cool head, but play with intensity," he said. 

Finally, the star player spoke about Abel Braga's return and the impact the coach's presence has on the squad. 

"Abel is an important guy, he's here at the right time. He has a difficult but winning history. He gives us strength and tranquility to manage both on and off the field. When he arrived, he praised our team and told us the truth, that something was missing. We want to improve all the time to evolve and win games. In an important game like tomorrow's, it's good to have him on our side."
